What is this course about?
This fast-track and time-efficient course is designed for busy individuals who want to learn about cryptocurrency. It offers a streamlined path to learning everything you need to know to start acquiring your first cryptocurrency asset, assuming you have some basic knowledge about cryptocurrency. For example, you have attended our complimentary and free course of “A Beginner’s Guide to Cryptocurrency: Malaysia Edition”. We highly recommend that you do so if you have not already done so.
What is this course not about?
This course does not provide financial or investment advice because we are not licensed to do so. The primary purpose of this course is to educate people who are interested in investing in cryptocurrency. It is not intended to promote cryptocurrency, but to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to make informed investment decisions.
What can you expect from this course?
The course employs a hybrid approach, combining theoretical concepts with live demonstrations to help participants quickly grasp the process of purchasing and sending cryptocurrency.
Furthermore, we will delve into critical concepts that all cryptocurrency investors must understand, as failure to do so may result in the loss of assets.
How will the course be conducted?
The course will be delivered through a live group coaching session via YouTube.
To ensure smooth access to the session, we kindly request that you use the same email address for your YouTube account as the one used during the course sign-up. Using a different email address will result in difficulties accessing the session.
A generous allocation of 3 hours has been set aside for this course, providing ample time for participants to address any questions or concerns they may have.
What’s live group coaching?
A live group coaching session is a type of coaching that is conducted in real-time with a group of people. We believe this type of coaching can be beneficial for people who want to learn from others and get feedback from a group of people.
Maximize Your Streaming Session Experience
We recommend that you attend the streaming session in a quiet location with a strong internet connection. Using headphones or earphones can help you to participate more fully. If you are experiencing blurry or poor video quality, you can try adjusting the video settings in YouTube’s video player. If you need help changing the setting, we suggest that you check out this article from Google. It includes a detailed guide on how to do it.
Be in private:
If you intend to set up your cryptocurrency wallet during the live streaming session so you can ask us questions about any confusions or uncertainties encountered during the process, you should do so in a private setting. This is related to the Secret Recovery Phrase, which we will discuss during the session.
Device Considerations:
We recommend that you use your OWN PERSONAL laptop to follow along and replicate what we do during the live streaming session. This allows you to easily switch between browser tabs while still being connected to our live streaming session.
Why must it be your PERSONAL laptop? You don’t want to install your wallet on a borrowed laptop or device.
You can, of course, participate in the session using both your laptop and your smartphone. Another option is to use two smart phones.
Essentially, the idea is to be able to stay connected to our session while also working on the hands-on component.
Can your wallet be installed on your smart phone? Yes.
The bottom line is, only use your PERSONAL device to install your wallet.
Again, you shouldn’t have to worry about all that if you DON’T plan to follow along and replicate what we do during the live streaming session.
Buying your crypto asset:
Acquiring your first cryptocurrency asset is most conveniently accomplished using a credit card (through an on-off ramp that accepts credit card) or using bank transfer (for those exchanges registered in Malaysia).
Therefore, if you intend to follow along and copy what we do during the session, we recommend having your credit card or bank transfer credentials prepared for the course. We will not be able to make any purchases for you during the session. We will also not ask you for any such details.
In the interest of learning, we think it is a good idea for you to spend only the minimum amount specified by the on/off ramp service provider.
For instance, if bank transfer is chosen as the payment method, some providers allow transactions as low as RM 40.
What’s on/off ramp? We’ll talk about that in our session.
Again, you shouldn’t have to worry about all that if you DON’T plan to follow along and replicate what we do during the live streaming session.
Identity verification (KYC):
Almost all on/off ramp requires that you pass their KYC (Know Your Customer) verification before you are allowed to make purchase. Typically, this involves taking/uploading photos of your IC/driving license (both sides) and getting you to take/recording a selfie.
We remind you that we will have no access to any personal details you provide to them.
Again, you shouldn’t have to worry about all that if you DON’T plan to follow along and replicate what we do during the live streaming session.
